The company started from a small office in Highgate designing and manufacturing medical lasers, recording mixer desks and dealer board speakers.

ACL was the first company to develop the openline speaker system for the (Astley & Piers) broker trading floor. We used the recording mixer technology and developed the first telephone handset recording interface in the early 80s. ACL is also the first company to develop a GEN-GEN to LOOP GEN (FIG2 to FIG6) signalling converter.
 
As the technology progressed into digital technology we had to progress too. We have developed a recording solution for over 30 Digital telephone systems, ISDN30 (E1- PRI), ISDNII (BRI) and VOIP.

We have also developed a high quality microphone for covert and overt recordings of casino tables, meeting and conference rooms and medical consultation rooms. We can also design and build products to your specifications and requirements.

We are a company that has and is able to solve a lot of our customers¡¯ Telephone recording, audio monitoring and telephone line signalling problems. Our customers range from Government, Banks, Call Centres, NHS, Harley Street Clinics, Police and the Security Services.

ACL have 35 years experience in audio and telecommunication. We are also a Member of the Institute of Sound and Communications Engineers.
