Solution
- Extended a Hearth controller connectivity to mobile & cloud using Rainmaker enabled Espressif controller
- Interfaced the Hearth controller with the Espressif controller over UART to integrate it as a Rainmaker node
- Integrated a mobile app and user dashboard with Rainmaker AWS cloud
- Redesigned Rainmaker sample application into productized form for customer’s mobile application including device provisioning and device control features
- Leveraged rainmaker cloud for OEM support
- Factory provisioning tool for customer to bind with OEM
- OTA update for all controllers connected with Espressif for main controlling and watchdog purpose
Outcomes
- The connectivity solution was designed quickly compared to the fresh cloud design
- Enabled mobile app to control devices without internet and with internet through Rainmaker cloud
