Challenges
No automated way to manage end-user collaboration services or fulfill customer requests for third-party conferencing systems like Zoom
OSS and BSS layers were disconnected from SDN controllers, blocking centralized service configuration and activation across network domains
No reliable way to translate service orders into resource configurations or support multiple tenants on shared infrastructure
Solution
ACL Digital built an end-to-end orchestration solution combining workflow automation, standards compliance, and multi-vendor extensibility.
- Authored BPMN workflows on the Camunda engine, with each task triggering specific microservice logic.
- Developed containerized Python and Java service templates for modular, repeatable orchestration.
- Implemented CFS-to-RFS decomposition aligned with TMF 640, TMF 641, TMF 639, and TMF 638.
- Built southbound adapters for Netconf, Restconf, CLI/SSH, and TL1 to connect network elements, SDN controllers, EMS/NMS, and cloud systems.
- Used Jinja templates to generate vendor-specific device configurations on demand.
- Configured secure multi-tenancy so multiple logical networks and users can run on shared infrastructure.
Because the solution is anchored in TM Forum standard Open APIs, ACL Digital’s approach extends beyond this platform. The team’s expertise in TMF APIs and CFS-to-RFS decomposition means the same architecture can be adapted to other vendor platforms, such as Nokia or Ericsson, with minimal ramp-up.
