The client is a leading US-based company that offers innovative and high-quality healthcare solutions for elderly people. They wanted to design and develop a Z-Wave-based, battery-operated stove sensor solution, enabling elderly patients at home to remotely manage and control the stove. ACL Digital developed a ZGM130S Z-Wave 700 series-based Z-Wave slave device (Z-Wave RSS – Reporting Sleeping Slave) meeting the client’s requirements for efficient and secure remote stove monitoring.

Absence of physical presence by remotely overseeing and regulating the stove
Solution
- Developed ZGM130S Z-Wave 700 series-based Z-Wave slave device (Z-Wave RSS – Reporting Sleeping Slave)
- Integrated Panasonic AMG8833 high precision infrared array sensor(8×8 pixels) to monitor the status of the stove
- Monitor stove status and report the status to the associated Z-Wave controller
- OTA support via associated Z-Wave controller
- Perform integration with the CENTAURI 200 platform to send the sensor data to the client’s cloud
- Approx. 1 year of battery life with 2xCR123A battery
- Approx. 100-meter range with less than 10% PER
- Performed Z-Wave Plus v2, FCC, and IP64 compliance certification
