They wanted to build a standalone data logger system to collect data from solar panels, control the energy generation of DG sets, and enable remote accessibility.     Challenges

    Complex integration of Modbus RTU/TCP across diverse devices

    Solution

    • Design and development of data logger to connect with 3 types of devices such as inverters, energy meters, and sensors to collect data and send it to AWS cloud to make critical decisions
    • Provided Sub1-GHz connectivity (achieved LOS 1KM range) to make local control between data loggers
    • Design and development of hardware including schematic, layout, Gerber release, engineering design validation and testing
    • Modbus RTU/TCP communication over different devices to collect data and send it to the server
    • Remote web-based secure connectivity with a data logger to control and monitor using OpenVPN
    • Complete end to end cloud development, app development, prototype development, and mass production
