Overview

The client is a global manufacturer of advance electronic devices/components in the field of automation. They wanted to enable integration of their environmental sensors with the Intel UPM SDK enabling developers with an easy to use interface for reading data from the sensors. ACL Digital designed & developed USB type sensor library over USB to UART and over BLE.

    Challenges

    Unavailability of USB type sensor library on Intel

    Lack of SiLabs based Zigbee 3.0 communication solution board

    Lack of an application to capture data from the sensors

    Solution

    • Designed & developed USB type sensor library over USB to UART and over BLE
    • Developed C/C++ libraries on Intel board so that the application developer can create an easy and quick application to capture the sensor data
    • Developed two applications for Human Vision component sensors over USB+UART for face registration & detection with features like add, change & delete user, age, blink estimation, etc.
    • Developed UPM libraries & UPM applications on Intel UPM board for Thermal Sensor and Pressure sensor to monitor temperature and pressure of environment respectively
    • Developed Functional Validation Suite using Python to verify sensor functionality & delivered test automation to manage increasing changes for release validation
